How are you? This tractor looks great. We think it is worth a look. Here are the details:
This is a 1984 Ford F700 heavy duty truck that was set up to tow mobiles and heavy trailers. It is a very short wheel base for getting it tight spaces. I has a heavy duty hitch that adjusts way up and down for any height trailer. This is manual, but used to be on an electric winch for easy hooking up, and it would be easy to put on an electric/hydraulic winch if you wanted, for about $200.
The truck has an industrial gas V8 and a 10 speed manual transmission. It has recently had a new clutch and new fuel pump, and our diesel mechanic just checked it out last week, and gave it a minor tune-up.
It is well used, rough as a cob, and strong as a bull.
Any trades will be considered. We need a backhoe, a 4×4, and a run-around vehicle, maybe something else. Have cash to add to any trade.
The nickname of the truck is “The Toter from Hell”. It was used for years by Foothills Mobile Home Installers, and by Bob Butcher at Sunshine Mobile Homes. With the very short wheelbase, and being so heavily built for towing, it rides so rough and noisey it almost makes me sick to drive it. But it will tow anything you hitch up to it-10 tons, 20tons, whatever. Probably the best use for it now is a yard truck or for hauling a heavy pipe or equipment trailer from site to site.
