Im getting into tractor pulling and i was wonder what brand of Lawn/Garden tractor would be the best for pulling? Like is there a brand that has a better built engine that can with stand pulling?
Just picked it up needing a litthe work but all I know is that is has a Briggs motor and the tractor is red. The guy I dot it from had no clue and it is hard to find parts if you don’t know what you have. Any help would be great, Paul.

My parents gave me ear-muffs last year to protect my hearing when mowing the yard with the lawn tractor, but I have never worn them.
Our brand new craftsman lawn tractor has been used twice. And each time, it has backfired once (so twice total, though he’s still out there using it so I’ll update with more info when he comes in). What causes them to backfire? I would definitely assume this is a bad thing? It’s a manual, not automatic.

I am trying to figure out which way to go. I have heard of people having an ATV/4 wheeler and getting a pull behind mower and tiller(self powered), also a snow plow. Are there ATV’s with PTO’s?? What size engine would you need to have. I have 3.5 hilly acres to take care of. Also considering a NorTrak tractor or a used kubota. I have been able to check out riding mowers but do not know about ATV’s or small tractors. Any info would be appreciated.
