How Can I Find Out What Belt I Need For My Snapper Riding Mower? It Is Model Lt16002?
Tuesday, November 10th, 2009I bought a used Snapper Riding tractor. One of the belts that drives the blades snapped. After peeling the paint off the sticker (Someone re-painted this mower) I find what looks like LT16002 under model number. I tried searching for a belt for it on the various sites that sell them, but they require an OEM #. I have no clue what that is.
Also, anyone know anything about these tractors? I paid $300 for it, the tires are pretty shabby, but it runs just fine. The batter does tend to go dead so I have to re-charge the batter before starting it. Should I bother fixing this up? The other belts probably need to be changed as well. It is a 16 HorsePower briggs and stratton engine. I gave it an oil change – probably the first one its ever had. The muffler used to backfire some before the oil change (Not sure if thats related or not). The mower itself is intact, but just needs some TLC. I was trying to save some money – And I hear the snapper is a very good mower.
