Are You Getting Screwed Over By Your Government As Well?

Amazing!!! Simply Amazing!!!!
The Tax Poem
At first I thought this was funny…then I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end!
Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he’s fed.
Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.
Tax his work,
Tax his pay,
He works for peanuts
Anyway!
Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.
Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.
Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries
Tax his tears.
Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ***.
Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won’t be done
Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers;
Then tax him some more,
Tax him til
He’s good and sore.
Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he’s laid.
Put these words
Upon his tomb,
‘Taxes drove me
to my doom…’
When he’s gone,
Do not relax,
Its time to apply
The inheritance tax.

STILL THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, and our nation
was one of the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middleclass,
and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.
What in the hell happened? Can you spell ‘Politicians?’
And I still have to ‘press 1′ for English?

    What a great poem!
That’s the purpose of government; to tax the yokels so that they can give the bulk of the loot to special interests and cronies, and then always whine about wanting more, more, always more.
We have to live within a budget on whatever is left to us after the legalized extortion of these taxes, and why can’t the government also?
But the taxpayers are a bunch of sheep, and just go along with it.
The saturation point has just about been reached, though, and one of these days the sheep will finally turn on the corrupt politicians, when it becomes crystal clear to even the most dense individuals that we’re all being taken to the cleaners.

  2. Bibs Says:

In the year 1086 the king of England took a census. It was a census of how many geese and ducks and cattle and chickens each landholder owned for purposes of taxation. Taxation is nothing new. Assyrian and Babylonian records show how ancient tax systems worked.

  3. Relampago Blanco Says:

    Liberal greed knows no bounds.

  4. Handey Randy Says:

Freedom is never free. Taxes pay for many of the benefits you seem to have forgotten about.
Taxes paid for the road to get your mom to the hospital to deliver you.
Taxes paid for your public education, garbage pickup, law enforcement, and the defense of our nation.
While its true that these taxes did not exist 100 years ago, either did the Interstate system, or the sanitary sewers or the fresh water you drink every day.
I don’t have time to make a quaint poem about it, but you should think long and hard about what benefits you recieve from all these taxes.

Because the easiest way to solve an economic problem is to create a new tax, fee, surcharge etc. God forbid our Politicians should stand up to the Lobbiest, that prey on them, and refuse their bribes. After all they would get excluded from the Country Club. So they piss taxes all over use, and the worst part, is we let them. So who really is at fault. A hundred years ago, people joined together and protested again the Gov. to let the Politicians know their opinion. Today we hide in the corner and do nothing but complain to each other. After all, we elect them…belly ache and then re-elect them. Is it out of fear?

  6. $ Says:

Life was more simple in the golden age of this country. I can name a thousand things about our American society today that are completely backwards from the way we used to be.
I think a lot of us must face it. This isn’t America anymore. The melting pot has boiled over. We are now so PC that we dare not leave our houses for being labeled racist for calling the day beautiful. We are so pro-everything wrong that we dare not disagree with the delusional and perverted, otherwise, we’d be labeled hate-filled members of the KKK.

  7. Johnny Canuck Says:

One hundred years ago North American governments financed themselves through prohibitive customs barriers and seemingly endless resource royalties. They built all their transportation infrastructure by giving away massive land grants to private corporations (ie: railroads, canals etc) who then turned around and charged people horrendous rates for the use of such. Their militarys were relatively small, horse powered, and functioning off of civil war surplus material (in the US) or Royal Navy castoffs (in Canada). Their sole purpose was to drive the Indians off the land and make room for desperate foreign immigrants who supplied another very lucrative form of revenue when they came here and paid all the necessary fees. Politicians and civil servants were paid very poorly and only ever went into the service for the opportunities for graft, bribes, and all other forms of corruption. The church provided almost all the healthcare and social services and education only ever occurred on a grass roots, locally funded level.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m sickened by the poem too. Just don’t idealize the past like that. It wasn’t as nice a place as you’d think.

  8. Anarchis Says:

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”
    Thomas Jefferson
For the last 80 or so years, government decided to “take care of us” ……
and that what happens, when government get involved.
