Can Anyone Imagine That This Is How It Really Was, And Wish It Was That Way Again?
Sad state of affairs POEM.
Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he’s fed.
Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes Are the rule.
Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts Anyway!
Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat.
Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work, Tax his dirt.
Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he Tries to think.
Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries Tax his tears.
Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax him fast!
Tax all he has Then let him know That you won’t be done Till he has no dough.
When he screams and hollers, Then tax him more, Tax him till He’s good and sore.
Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he’s laid.
Put these words upon his tomb, Taxes drove me to my doom
When he’s gone, Do not relax, It’s time to apply The inheritance tax.

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago,
and our nation was the most prosperous in the world.
We had absolutely no national debt,
had the largest middle class in the world,
and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

The time that you speak of
is a time that we had
Representatives in Congress
BEFORE
they were deemed….
Lawmakers…..
and became… the Rulers By Law
that they are now
There is not a single issue
that is placing this nation’s situation
into peril that has not been created
by this combined body of
demigods and crooks

i think a 100 years ago was great from a financial stand point. But tell women now that they can’t work and have to stay home, good luck with that. and tell the rich man he can’t be greedy, you would never live to see it. so i do agree but those days are over and gone.

Our nation achieved it’s highest level of general prosperity ever in the 1990s during the Clinton administration.

I got this e-mail a while ago. Makes you wonder how people WANT to be taxed like that. It’s ridiculous! Maybe it’ll swing back that way.
Ever notice how the increase in divorce rate goes directly along with the decrease of God?
