Equine Pine Pellet Bedding As Cat Litter?
I currently use Feline Pine and it was suggested several times on YA that wood pellets (the type used in pellet stoves) are an equal substitute and much cheaper. Unfortunately, my local farm supply store only carries the wood pellets seasonally. But, I saw an ad from Tractor Supply Co for equine pine pellet bedding, and I’m guessing it’s similar or equal. TSC is out of my way so I thought I’d get opinions before I go and look in case you’re wondering why I don’t just go and see for myself!
You can’t beat the price: on sale for $10 for two 40lb bags, while Feline Pine is $8 for one 20lb bag at WalMart!
It’s great stuff btw and I wish I’d switched years ago. But I’d love to save $, of course.
Here’s a link to their ad if it helps:http://tractorsupply.shoplocal.com/index…
Thanks!

I use equine pine in my cat boxes and in my ferret litter boxes. I think it is great! and I buy it from tractor supply also!

So what is your question? Is it the same stuff? YES. Feline Pine is simply wood stove pellets with a cats face on the bag. Many of us have know this for YEARS.
