How Much Weight Will A 2 By 12 By 8′ Long Hold On It’s Side When It’s Used As A Ramp?

I’m using two pressure treated 2x4x8′ boards for ramps to load small tractor into the bed of my pickup. I was wondering what the limit would be.

ask your local engineer you may need steal or for get an approved loading ramp.

I have done this many times and if you are using (2) 2x12x8 treated boards just add (1) 2x6x8 to each of them on the backside and it will handle the weight…because the 2x12x8 will bend too much without the additional back board.
